Wie entsteht ein Song, wie eine Gedichtzeile, wie ein Kunstwerk? Für ihr Album und die Ausstellung „Out of the Blue“ haben die Musikerinnen Fama M’Boup und Anna-Lucia Rupp einen Austausch von Gedanken und Inspiration angestoßen: Die Grundidee war die eines freundschaftlichen, kollaborativen Austauschs, der sich aus Freude, Neugier oder Bewunderung für die Arbeit des Gegenübers speist. Gemeinsam ist den Künstler*innen in den ganz unterschiedlichen Medien die Suche nach künstlerischen Strategien und neuen Ausdrucksformen, die Gefühlen und Bedürfnissen unserer Zeit Ausdruck verleihen. In diesem Austausch von Ideen, Gesprächen und gegenseitiger Inspiration sind die 14 Lieder des neuen Albums und ebenso viele neue Werke der Malerei, Fotografie, Mode, Design, Literatur, Film und Kunsthandwerk entstanden. Der Titels des Albums und der Ausstellung, „Out of the Blue“ bezieht sich nicht nur auf das wunderbar Unerwartete kreativer Schaffensprozesse, sondern auch auf die Befreiung aus Zuständen der Trauer oder der Unterdrückung. Die Ausstellung in der robotron-Kantine führt die neu entstandene Musik und die Werke aus den Bereichen Malerei, Fotografie, Mode, Design, Literatur, Film und Kunsthandwerk einmalig für zehn Tage zusammen und lädt Besucher*innen dazu ein, die Spuren der gemeinsamen Inspiration und gemeinsamer Prinzipien von Gestaltung in den unterschiedlichen künstlerischen Medien aufzuspüren.

How is a song, a line of poetry, a work of art created? For their album „Out of the Blue“ musicians Fama M'Boup and Anna-Lucia Rupp initiated an exchange of thoughts and inspirations: The basic idea was that of a friendly, collaborative exchange fed by joy, curiosity or admiration for each other's work. What the artists working in these very different media have in common is the search for artistic strategies and new forms of expression that lend expression to the feelings and needs of our time. The 14 songs on the new album and just as many new works of painting, photography, fashion, design, literature, film and handicrafts were created in this exchange of ideas, conversations and mutual inspiration. The shared title of the album and the exhibition, “Out of the Blue”, refers not only to the character of the wonderfully unexpected in creative processes, but also to liberation from states of grief or oppression. The exhibition in the robotron canteen for ten days brings together the newly created music and works from the fields of painting, photography, fashion, design, literature, film and handicrafts and invites visitors to discover the traces of shared inspiration and common principles of design in the various artistic media.
